7. JobAdder and other third-party services
Our Opportunities page uses JobAdder, a recruitment and candidate-management platform. When you view vacancies or apply for a position, JobAdder may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Information submitted through a JobAdder application may be stored in our JobAdder account and made available to our recruitment team.
JobAdder uses Amazon Web Services and other subprocessors to provide its services. Its handling of information is also governed by the JobAdder Privacy Policy.
Our website may contain embedded maps and links to services such as LinkedIn, SEEK and other third-party websites. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of an external website merely because we link to it.
8. Overseas storage and disclosure
Some technology, cloud, communications and recruitment service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Depending on the service used, overseas locations may include the United States, Canada and other countries in which a provider or its subprocessors operate.
We may also disclose information to an overseas client or prospective employer when you are being considered for an international opportunity and you have authorised or would reasonably expect that disclosure.
Where the APPs apply, we take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements, subject to any exceptions under the Privacy Act.
Provider locations can change. You may contact us if you would like current information about the likely location of a particular disclosure.
9. Direct marketing
We may use your contact details to tell you about relevant vacancies, recruitment services, industry information or business updates where permitted by law.
You may opt out at any time by:
-
using the unsubscribe facility in the communication;
-
replying and asking us to stop; or
-
contacting us using the details below.
Opting out of marketing will not prevent us from contacting you about an active application, placement, client engagement or other service-related matter.
10. Cookies and website technologies
Our website and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to:
-
operate website functionality;
-
remember preferences;
-
maintain security;
-
measure website use and performance; and
-
display embedded services such as vacancy listings or maps.
You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect website functionality.
Third-party services embedded in or linked from the website may receive information about your device and browsing activity in accordance with their own privacy policies.
11. Recruitment technology and automated processing
We may use recruitment software to assist with résumé parsing, candidate searches, job matching, workflow management, communications and administrative tasks.
Technology may help our recruiters organise or assess relevant information, but we remain responsible for our handling of personal information. Where automated processing is used to make or substantially assist a decision that could significantly affect an individual’s rights or interests, we will provide the information and safeguards required by applicable law.
You may contact us to ask how technology has been used in relation to your application.
12. Storage and security
We may hold information in electronic recruitment systems, email and document-management services, secure cloud platforms and, where necessary, physical records.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps may include:
-
access controls and authentication;
-
restricting access to authorised personnel;
-
secure cloud and technology providers;
-
encryption and secure transmission where appropriate;
-
system maintenance, backups and monitoring; and
-
staff privacy and information-security practices.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. If an eligible data breach occurs, we will respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and other applicable laws.
13. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably required for recruitment, business, legal and record-keeping purposes.
Candidate information may be retained after a particular application has concluded so that we can consider the candidate for future opportunities. You may ask us to stop considering you for future roles or to delete your information.
When information is no longer reasonably required and we are not legally required to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to destroy it or permanently de-identify it.
14. Access and correction
You may ask to access personal information we hold about you or request that inaccurate, incomplete, out-of-date, irrelevant or misleading information be corrected.
Please contact us in writing and provide enough information for us to identify you and the relevant records. We may request evidence of identity before releasing or changing information.
We will respond within a reasonable period. Access may be refused or limited where permitted by law—for example, where providing access would unreasonably affect another person’s privacy. If we refuse a request, we will generally explain the reason and available complaint options.
We do not ordinarily charge for making a request. We may charge a reasonable fee for providing access where permitted by law and will tell you beforehand.
15. Anonymity and pseudonyms
You may contact us anonymously or use a pseudonym where practicable. However, we will usually need accurate identifying and professional information to assess you for employment, conduct checks or represent you to a prospective employer.
16. Privacy complaints
If you have a privacy concern or believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us using the details below and describe:
-
the conduct or information concerned;
-
what outcome you are seeking; and

any supporting details.
We will acknowledge the complaint and investigate it fairly. We aim to provide a response within 30 days, although complex matters may take longer. We will keep you informed if additional time is required.
